Central Law is currently the only regional law firm with offices in all of Central America, Panama and Dominican Republic.

Extending a warm welcome to participants, Enrique De Marchena thanked all of his clients and people that trusted him back then in 1992, when he founded DMK Abogados Central Law. He highlighted that “in the next fifteen years to come, our firm will be run according to the ways of the world in the XXIst century, with a modern vision, where those companies providing the most effective, high quality service in the shortest time, while maintaining work ethics, will prevail.”

President of Central Law, Rafael Quirós, described “the importance for Central America and Dominican Republic of the commercial treaty with USA, DR-CAFTA, attracting as a result even more foreign investors to the region”. He was quite optimistic about the current situation and future of attorneys, which will play more important roles in the changing styles of negotiations in our countries. For this reason, Central Law’s local firms joined efforts for working towards regional unification to consider it as a single larger market.

Shortly after, an institutional video of DMK Abogados Central Law was projected and commemorative plates were given away to the firm’s first clients.

Summarizing DMK Abogados Central Law’s history, we can tell you it was founded in 1992 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, which specialized in commercial law and direct foreign investment. Nowadays it is also a leader within the country’s firms, in practice areas such as tourism, real state, environmental law and wind energy. The firm has offices in Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata and Las Terrenas, Samaná, with a staff of multicultural attorneys, which whom have graduated from prestigious universities around the world, specialized in different practice areas and jurisdictions.
