On December 20, 2006, CABCORP announced that the international rating agency Moodys, improved its risk assessment, upgrading from B2 (granted in February of 2004) to B1. CABCORP is the first Central American company that dares to issue commercial paper in the global capital markets and to submit to the strict process of qualification by Moodys, one of the leading risk assessment companies at a global level, assessing risk and debt to more than 100 nations, 11,000 companies, 25,000 public issuers and 70,000 issuers of financial debentures.

Benjamin Valdez, legal advisor to CABCORP in El Salvador, is of the opinion that: "…the upgrading granted by such a prestigious company as Moodys, says a great deal of the financial situation of the company and powerfully draws the attention of the international community of investors, since they can now be certain that their investment is safe…In my opinion, CABCORP deserved the upgrading in its assessment, as a recognition to its financial discipline and good corporate governance; without demeaning the economic results obtained, its performance has been evident, to such a degree that in El Salvador, one of its subsidiaries was granted with the "exporter of the year" award…”.
