Guest speaker Mr.
Travis, in both seminars referred to specific
subjects about profitable industrial development
with the ratification of the DR-CAFTA. He
presented examples of the manufacturing industry,
of relevant economic importance in the Central
American region, that accounts for 51% of the GDP
in Honduras and thousands of jobs in El Salvador.
To summarize, he expressed clearly how to benefit
from the DR-CAFTA.
“Mr. Travis is the
managing partner of the Firm and chairman of
Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services, with
extensive experience in a wide variety of
international trade and customs issues, including
the representation of countries and private
interests in matters before the World Trade
Organization (WTO), the World Customs Organization
(WCO), the U.S. Congress and federal agencies, as
well as before the revenue and customs services of
many nations.
Mr. Travis is
widely recognized as a leading authority in the
complex and highly technical world of
international trade. He possesses extensive
knowledge on subjects such as the classification,
valuation, and origin of imported merchandise;
preference systems; and free trade agreements
between the U.S. and its trading partners. He is a
distinguished speaker and has been highly praised
for his presentations.”
