In January 2017, our lawyer Jonathan Menjívar was selected to be member of the Panel of Independent Experts on the Bid Protest System of FOMILENIO II, which is a program funded with USD$277 millions donated by the U.S. Government though the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and a contribution of USD$88.2 millions, provided by the Salvadoran Government, making a total of USD$365.2 millions meant to be invested over a five year term. The program’s goal is to improve El Salvador’s investment climate in order to promote economic growth and poverty reduction.
As part of the Panel of Experts, Jonathan can be selected by bidders and potential bidders from the purchase processes and bids, through which FOMILENIO II procurements are adjudicated, in order to process and resolve definitively the challenges they make in Appeal, based on the MCC Procurement Guidelines.
