The Single Central American Affidavit (in Spanish acronyms DUCA) is a document that includes the three main customs declarations that require the merchandise trade in Central America.
The DUCA includes the Single Central American Form ( in Spanish FAUCA), Used in the intraregional trade of origin merchandise; the International Custom Transit Land
Declaration known in Spanish as DUT, used for the international land transito of Central America; and the Merchandise Declaration also known in Spanish as DUA or DM, used for the commerce with third party countries outside the region.
The DUCA has three different uses:
- The DUCA-F must be used for the commerce of merchandise which are original from Central America.
- The DUCA-D must be used for the import and export of merchandise with third party countries outside the Central American region.
- The DUCA-T must be used for the transfer of merchandise under the regime of international land transit.
The DUCA is effective since May 7 2019 for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panamá and is a measure which will make easier the regional and international trade. It is the result of the work and effort of customs services of the Central American region and of the Economic Integration Council of Ministers which means a firm step toward the strengthen of the Central American Economic Integration.
