CENTRAL LAW attends Biannual IBA Latin American Regional Forum conference in Rio

A group of lawyers at CENTRAL LAW which are members of the International Bar Association (IBA) will attend the biannual conference organized by the Latin American Regional Forum from 9 to 11 March at the Sheraton Rio de Janeiro Hotel, Brazil.

The conference is called “Living in interesting times: how to find the opportunities while avoiding the pitfalls” and has a full agenda of varied topics to be discussed such as The law and the new economy in Latin America, Overview of the M&A market in Latin America, Crisis management challenges: recent developments in compliance and anticorruption in Latin America, Dispute resolution in Latin America, etc. The key note speaker of the opening ceremony will be Emerson Fittipaldi, F1 World Champion.  

The Latin American Formum covers all countries in Latin America as well as Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spanish-speaking areas of the Caribbean. The Forum provides a focus for all activities in the region, organising sessions art IBA conferences and in particular has been instrumental in ensuring that a Latin American perspective is addressed during relevant special sessions. The Forum is closely affiliated with the North American Regional Forum as the regions are geographically proximate and share many issues.
