CENTRAL LAW advises company on renewable energy tender process in El Salvador

CENTRAL LAW El Salvador advised in recent months the company BMR ENERGY, LLC., which was recently acquired by the Virgin Group, owned by the billionaire Richard Branson, during the consultations and proposal of amendments to the Bid Documents phase of the International Public Bidding No. DELSUR-CLP-RNV-1-2016, for the supply of 170MW of power to be installed in non-conventional renewable generation and associated energy for a period of 20 years.

The team that provided the legal assistance was led by the associate Piero Rusconi Bolaños, who stated that "it was necessary not only to conduct a thorough study of the bidding documents, which allowed them to make adjustments to these documents, but also It was indispensable in order to design a legal strategy that would allow the formalization of all the necessary documentation in time and ready to fulfill all financial, legal and technical requirements of the bidding documents."

The economic proposal was filed on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, during an event organized by the electricity distributors that sponsored this tender; in this event also participated the highest authorities of the General Superintendency of Electricity and Telecommunications and the Agency for Export Promotion and Investment of El Salvador, as well as various delegates from various embassies with diplomatic representation in the country. The event for the opening of the financial bids will be held on January 11, 2017
